Arcade Alex

This is almost it for chapter 10! I’m going to take a brief pause to get the 3-page dream sequence together, so that will start going up on August 31 instead of 8/24.

This is the longest chapter to date (52 pages for the main portion of the chapter, not including the dream sequence to follow) and I finished it in under a year, even with the stops and starts. The last long chapter, 6, took over a year to complete. It’s encouraging knowing that I’m getting faster at this.

Still, I’m starting to feel the burnout like I did with chapter 6. It’s challenging to keep working on the same chapter for this long. I’m going to take a break from the comic after I complete the dream sequence and back cover.

My plans for the rest of the year are to focus on the CYOA Kink Club comic on Patreon (a comic where Alex and Kaz visit a kink club and hook up with other people), along with some other smaller scale projects I’ve been wanting to work on. I’m hoping to get a table at CAKE (Chicago Alternative Comics Expo) next summer, and I have some ideas for what I’d like to showcase. I plan to debut those ideas on Patreon first, once I actually have something tangible to share. I’ll announce more on that soon if you’re interested in following along.

Currently, my plan is to restart the comic in January 2026 with chapter 11 (which coincidentally also takes place in January!) This will be a shorter chapter with Kaz tying up some loose ends from his trip, and Alex supporting him in the process. It will absolutely not be as depressing as chapter 10 lol. After that, chapters 12 and 13 will be getting back to their roots – a couple horny chapters about gaming and more 😉
