I think this is a common sentiment among trans guys. I personally think trans guys *do* have a dick (as they discuss on the next page), and like cis guys, the desire for a bigger dick is pretty universal. But for a lot of trans folks, it’s easy to feel like you’re less than or not enough. I sure know I feel that way sometimes. But you ARE enough. Trans men are men. Trans women are women. Non-binary folks are who they are, and they are valid. We define who we are, and we owe it to ourselves to be happy.

Page transcript:
Alex: Kaz, do you ever wish I was… y’know, more like Naoki?
Kaz: What do you mean? Like, into photography?
Alex: No, I mean like… Do you ever wish I had a dick?
Kaz: Well, I mean…
You do have one.
I don’t feel as inadequate about it as I used to. And my ex mirrored these sentiments in the beginning of our relationship. But as a bottom whose enjoyment of the act came from his body being used to give pleasure to the other, I couldn’t top for him the way he wanted. Ultimately, I don’t think this is what ended our relationship, as sex wasn’t that important to him in general, but I do think it was a small contributor. I can’t even blame him though, because I feel a similar way. I just love everything about them, and nothing’s a substitute for the real thing. However, I think it’s important to remember that there are people out there who don’t care and think you’re hot the way you are. You just have to find them. I’m really happy to find a comic about a romance between a trans guy and a cis guy that shows them having a happy sex life, because that’s what I want for myself.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It can definitely be tough to find a partner who understands and is compatible, and I do want to touch on Alex’s feelings about bottom surgery in the future, as it’s something that’s on my mind a lot too. But there are plenty of open minded gay/queer men, and plenty of ways to have sex. I hope that you find a more accepting partner. No one deserves to feel like they’re second best.
Thanks for this comic. It is accurate and relatable! Thanks for depicting a healthy relationship and support between each other.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the comic! Most of the trans folks I know and I have struggled with insecurity too, so I thought this was an important conversation for them to have.
